Ok, so today's blog is a bit of a vent and special words of advice to all those out there thinking they are making a nice comment to a 38 1/2 week pregnant woman....
Ok, here it is...
When you feel compelled to make a comment about a pregnant woman's belly/size, etc...DON'T...at least, stop...think...and then speak...don't tell me that I look bigger, don't tell me that I look cute with a big belly and seriously don't tell me "you look like you are expanding westward and about to bust"...it's not funny, cute and it doesn't mesh well with the hormones that are running wild through my body right now...
Of course, in hindsight, I understand you are trying to be nice and think that you are making me feel good with a nice comment - but say, "how are you?", "you look great", "you look healthy", "pregnancy looks good on you"...and if you can't say any of those options honestly, then just go for a simple "hello"....please use this advice when addressing all pregnant moms to be - it will go a long way! And perhaps save you from getting the wrath of the mom to be:)
So, with that being said, I don't have any update, other than I think Baby M is very cozy and enjoys hanging out in my belly. We are still 10 days out from our due date, and I am expecting a minimum of 10 days before we meet this little one.

The Waiting Game...13 days
Well, I have a new appreciation for moms-to-be in waiting...this pregnancy was going so fast until last week, and now...the brakes have been put into full force! So now we wait and anticipate the arrival of this little one.
My friend Natalie had her baby girl on Friday (Congrats Nat & Nick!) and she shared with me that it is the most amazing feeling to see your little baby and how you fall immediately in love more than you could ever imagine. I think that is SO cool! I am already so in love with this little one (even when I can't sleep at night and my hips hurt) that I can only imagine that love growing exponentially! What a blessing!
Being such a planner, this whole idea of having baby run the show of when he/she arrives is certainly out of my element:) Ha! I guess I have to get used to the idea of who will be running the show for a bit here very soon. So now I just enjoy the last few days of peace and quiet with just me and Paul and soak up the special time we have together.
As of Friday, the doctor says that baby was still hanging out with me for a bit, but that it could change any day! So here's to hoping that some more progress is made by Friday:)
During my waiting period I am doing a lot of research on deals for moms and thanks to my friend, Kimberly, learned about Amazon Mom. For all moms out there, go to www.amazon.com/mom - you can get 30% off all diapers & wipes and 15% off household items if you sign up for automatic delivery - delivery is free, no tax and it is a HUGE savings! OK, so there's my plug for the week!
Hopefully more updates to come very soon! At least I now know the end is in sight, even if Baby Mikulski decides to show up late...ugh! But he or she is going to officially be an Aquarius just like Mommy!

The Home Stretch - 25 days to go!
Ok, so now the anticipation is starting to kill me! Only 25 days to go (give or take a few days on either side) and I am SO excited to meet this little one! My 36 week appointment went great and baby should now be approximately 5 lbs. 12 oz. Last night, the little one decided to hang out with my lungs, needless to stay, a restless night for "mommy & daddy in training"! Just waiting for him/her to drop so I can breathe easier!!!
We have made some great progress on the room and besides one last finishing touch, the room is set. See pics below!

I am keeping busy at Paul's office and I think my nesting instinct is starting to kick in too. Still attempting the gym a few days a week and trying to walk myself into labor:)
Other than that, all is status quo. I am sure my blogs will soon become much more exciting, so stay tuned!

33 Days!
Happy New Year! And Happy Birthday to my mom (today is her b-day)
This will be a short & sweet blog as there is too much to report since last week:) But that's good, right?
I hope you had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with family & friends. We enjoyed our NYE with friends in Chicago and I actually stayed awake and made it until 12:02am...then we said our goodbyes and hit the road!
So far, the New Year is treating us well. Had my weekly appointment today and Baby M is doing great. The heart rate was 150bpm (for all you wives tale believers) and s/he is in the right position - phew! Good news is that I am NOT having a ginormous child and baby M weighed in at approximately 5 lbs, 4 oz. today...so, with that being said, my doc said that she'll see me next week!
Other than that, nothing new to report! Looking forward to getting together this weekend with friends and keeping busy...just wish I could sleep more too!
